Concerns I see every week
I work with adolescents, young adults and adults, across India and abroad. The concerns below are the ones that come up most; if yours isn’t listed, ask on the intro call.
The mind
Anxiety · panic attacks · overthinking & rumination · perfectionism · intellectualisation · mood swings · depression
The load
Burnout & work stress · people pleasing · high-functioning exhaustion · life transitions · feeling stuck · academic pressure
The past
Trauma · abuse recovery (emotional, physical, sexual) · grief & loss · nervous-system dysregulation · addiction
The relationships
Couples therapy · conflict resolution · dating & intimacy concerns · boundaries with family and work · being “the strong one” for everyone
My approach is eclectic and collaborative: CBT, DBT, ACT, trauma-informed care, somatic techniques, narrative therapy, and psychodynamic & strengths-based work, chosen for what you need. More on my modalities → Psychology student or early-career psychologist? See supervision & mentoring →
How sessions actually run
Format
Secure video call from wherever you have privacy: home, car, an empty meeting room (no judgement; some of my clients’ best sessions happen in parked cars).
Frequency
Weekly to start; rhythm matters more than intensity. We may space out to fortnightly as things settle. This is always discussed, never imposed.
Rescheduling
Life happens. 24 hours’ notice lets me offer your slot to someone else; late cancellations may be charged. I’m human about genuine emergencies.
Confidentiality
What you share stays between us, within standard ethical and legal limits, explained fully before we begin. Read the confidentiality & consent page.
Fee & logistics questions, answered honestly
How long is a session?
50 minutes. It sounds short until you experience how much can happen in a focused 50 minutes with no small talk required.
How do I pay?
India: UPI or Razorpay (you'll get an automatic invoice). Abroad: PayPal, in USD. Payment before or on the day of session.
Why do you show your fees publicly?
Because pricing games are exhausting, and you're likely already exhausted. Transparent fees also respect your ability to decide for yourself, a value that runs through the therapy too.
How many sessions will I need?
Honestly: it depends, and anyone who promises a fixed number is selling something. Many clients feel real shifts in 8–12 sessions; long-carried trauma takes longer. We review progress together, out loud, and you can pause or stop anytime.
Do you offer a sliding scale?
A small number of reduced-fee slots, yes, mostly for students. If the fee is the only thing stopping you, mention it on the intro call.
Is online therapy actually effective?
For the concerns I work with, research consistently finds video-based therapy comparable to in-person outcomes. And there's a quiet bonus: you're already in your own space, which often makes the settling work easier, not harder.
